Pricing
The prices for each tour are listed in the annual brochure and also by date on the Calendar page on this website. However, Cheval Voyages reserves the right to change or amend pricing information at any time in order to accommodate unforeseen transportation and/or other costs.
The price for each tour includes for one person: 6 Days horseback riding, 7 nights’ accommodations (double occupancy, additional supplement for solo/single room) in various guesthouses along the trail. All meals from evening of Day 1 to morning of Day 7 are included, however, additional drinks, alcohol, snacks, cultural visits, wine tastings, or any other activities or transportation are not included. Guests will be collected from the appropriate train station on the late afternoon of Day 1 and returned to the train station on the morning of Day 7 after breakfast. The location of the train stations are determined by the starting and ending points of the chosen tour.
A minimum of eight (8) guests are required for all tours, however, smaller groups may be arranged and the total price or price per person will be determined based on the number of guests participating.
Tips are not included in the tour price. Tips are not expected in restaurants, but other services and the tour employees do appreciate acknowledgement of their good services by tipping.
A minimum 300 euros deposit of the total price for the tour is required upon registration in order to reserve your spot. Fees may be paid via bank wire.
Single Supplement
If you wish to have a private room (one person), a supplement charge will be applied. The amount varies depending on the tour chosen, so please contact us to ask about the fee for the tour you are interested in.
Riders must be a minimum of sixteen (16) years of age. For unaccompanied minors (under age 18) a Parental Consent Form is required to be submitted with the registration form.
French law does not require adults to wear helmets. Riding helmets are required for minors (under age 18). All riders are advised to wear a certified riding helmet, particularly beginners. However, anyone of the age 18 or more, is free to choose to wear a helmet or not. You are hereby advised that riding is a risky sport and risk of head injury is possible. Each rider is responsible for assuming this risk of his own accord. Cheval Voyages does not provide helmets or other riding gear.
Insurances
Cheval Voyages is insured by Cabinet Pezant, a third party riding school, liability insurance provider, which covers the business operations of the tour riding company.
Personal medical insurance is compulsory. You may purchase insurance through the company listed on the registration form. If you do not purchase through this offering, you are required to provide evidence of personal medical insurance and you will be required to sign a Release Form for Cheval Voyages. Trip Cancellation insurance is also strongly recommended.
Cancellation

In the event you cancel your reservation, a refund of any monies paid will be based on the schedule below. You must notify Cheval Voyages of your cancellation in writing via email or letter. You are advised to inform us of your cancellation immediately. Any un warranted delay in notification may result in loss of refund.
If you cancel 60 days prior to the departure of your tour, you will receive a full refund of monies paid.
Between 60 and 21 days prior: 30% of the tour fee is retained.
Between 20 and 2 days prior: 65% of the tour fee is retained.
No show: 100% of the tour fee is retained.
If a guest interrupts or terminates his/her participation of the tour for any reason other than medical, there is no refund.

If Cheval Voyages cancels a tour departure for any reason whatsoever, the guest(s) will receive 100% refund of tour fees. Cheval Voyage is not responsible for any other compensation for travel or other expenses incurred by the guest(s).
If the minimum number of participants registered for the tour falls below the minimum required, the tour can be cancelled. However, the tour may be reinstated if the remaining participants agree to pay an adjusted tour price and you are informed about the change no less than 21 days prior to departure.
Cheval Voyages is not responsible for cancellations, delays, or the necessity of restricting riding or other activities due to adverse weather conditions. No refunds will be made due to such conditions. Cheval Voyages will make every effort to offer an alternative to cancellation, such as: different routes or locations, alternative activities, or alternative dates.
