TOM OIESTAD de Asker, Norway
October 5-12th 2019 I went on the Wine and Castle trail booked via Hiddentrails.com. I knew this trail has existed for years and I wanted to visit the Bordeaux area. In short, I had a wonderful week thanks to the efforts of David and Elaine! The horses are simply superb, its all very well organized so I enjoyed the trail to the fullest! We were lucky with the weather, just perfect temperatures. The horses are well behaving, calm in the traffic and safe to ride. David has a policy of rotating the order of the herd so all horses sooner or later has the chance of going in the front. This prevents in-herd fighting for position. Photos from the trail can found under 'Bordeaux 2019' on my profile on Facebook. What I will remember best is the perfect combination of walk, trot and canter. Going on a trail is a social event and its important to have time to enjoy the scenery and talk with the other riders. The saddles are special made for each horse and designed for spending many hours in the saddle: very comfortable! I heard no one complaining about the saddles. David and Elaine prepares the horses for each ride ensuring all details on saddle and bridle are in the right place. The accommodation is better than average and we stayed at nice places. The terrain is beautiful and there will be wine tasting and learning as well. I highly recommend this operator and have started planning for my next trail in 2020.. 🙂 Regards, Tom Øiestad Norway
